I'm painting again, at last. Sometimes, I think, arty-folk just lose their motivation, for all kinds of reasons and it's hard to break-out again. I was re-awakened by a return to my Cornish roots in St Ives. The place still runs red with the blood of my ancestors. I went into the museum with my hubby, only to discover that I was related to both of the people on the desk, on both sides of my family! I have a LARGE collection of rocks and minerals......some fossils. I look at their growth patterns and see the growth patterns of all life, including parasitic growth and interaction. Quartz types, especially with inclusions, are the most interesting, for me. My hubby was so fed-up with bits of rock all over the bedroom, he bought me a huge glass-fronted cabinet, as a surprise! However, he believes it's 'stealing from the earth.' He's right , of course, which is why I asked him where the petrol comes from that he puts into the  car............ He, he........!

My Mother always loved my 'beauty spot' on my right cheek. I never really thought much about it. Went for my usual 'check-up' with my nurse at my local GP practice for other long-term issues and she wanted me to see their 'mole expert' asap........he was busy with a patient, so I have a few days wait......... I'd noticed a change, when she mentioned it, but...........well, it's always been there, so it never occurred to me............ If you have a facial mole........keep checking it! If in doubt, get it checked-out. It will probably be fine.......
